Job Description

1. Industrial Relations (IR)

  • Manage overall Industrial Relations environment across plant(s)
  • Handle union negotiations, settlements, and wage agreements
  • Resolve employee grievances and ensure harmonious workplace relations
  • Prevent and manage strikes, disputes, and disciplinary issues
  • Maintain strong coordination with labour authorities and legal bodies

2. HR Strategy & Leadership

  • Design and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals
  • Lead workforce planning, succession planning, and talent management
  • Develop HR policies and ensure consistent implementation across levels
  • Drive employee engagement and organizational development initiatives

3. Compliance & Legal

  • Ensure full compliance with labour laws, statutory regulations, and factory acts
  • Oversee audits, inspections, and statutory filings
  • Handle legal cases related to HR/IR matters in coordination with legal team

4. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Management

  • Oversee recruitment strategy for plant and corporate roles
  • Ensure timely manpower availability for production requirements
  • Manage contractor workforce and vendor compliance

5. Performance & Compensation

  • Drive performance management systems (PMS)
  • Oversee salary structuring, wage benchmarking, and compensation reviews
  • Ensure fair and competitive HR practices within the industry standards

6. Training & Development

  • Identify training needs across departments
  • Implement skill development programs for shop floor and managerial staff
  • Support leadership development initiatives

7. Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Build a positive work culture aligned with organizational values
  • Drive engagement programs, communication forums, and employee welfare initiatives
  • Strengthen trust and transparency between management and workforce
